Front Secures Visit Britain’s First Ever ‘Rural Escapes’ Campaign
Jun 07 2007
Sheffield advertising agency, Front is celebrating after securing the full creative communications brief for Visit Britain’s brand new ‘Rural Escapes’ campaign, which aims to encourage people from the UK to take one or more annual rural breaks right here in England.
Front was appointed to undertake all on and off-line marketing activities including national and regional press advertising, full creative design and a 40 page brochure which will act as the main campaign fulfilment driver, directing target audiences to the Enjoy England website.
The Rural Escapes campaign is a new initiative for Visit Britain and the first campaign to focus specifically on countryside breaks in the UK by showcasing inspiring, surprising and unique ideas of places to see and things to do.
The core creative thinking behind the campaign aims to celebrate our very own great outdoors and breathtaking landscapes by reinterpreting the coast and country as a contemporary and exciting holiday destination, able to satisfy the demands of the discerning and experience-led traveller of 2007.
Cari Rowlands of Front, said; ‘Over the past few years, we’ve worked with several tourism clients so have built up an enviable level of experience and knowledge in the sector. It’s that experience which allows us to become such an integral part of the campaign and bring each marketing element together cohesively, without loosing sight of our core creative thinking.
Cari concluded; We’ve worked with Visit Britain on previous projects so, we’re delighted to be helping them drive forward a series of effective communications that are all designed to engage and excite.’
Visit Britain was formed on 1st April 2003 to market Britain to the rest of the world and England to the British population - through the Enjoy England brand. Formed by the merger of the British Tourist Authority and the English Tourism Council, its mission is to build the value of tourism by creating world-class destination brands and marketing campaigns.
This new project follows a string of recent new business wins for Front, as well as awards at the recent Fresh Awards.
