Apr 07 2008
Sheffield advertising agency, Front has created a new portal for Outdoor Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Tourist Board’s official website, to promote the wide range of outdoor activities that are available in the stunning county of North Yorkshire.
The new site, which is aimed at visitors, potential visitors and residents who want to undertake outdoor activities in the county as well as those who are simply looking for inspiration and information, is set to launch at The Ordinance Survey Outdoors Show which is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham between the 14th and 16th March 2008.
The principle creative of the site is designed to position the county in a fresh and exciting way by using the main concept of 'A Year of Adventure' and will feature a rolling selection of 52 outdoor activities that will be updated on the home page every week ensuring it has a real sense of energy.
The Front team developed the concept as it reinforces the abundance of exciting outdoor pursuits that are available in North Yorkshire which rival those of the Lake District and other regions in the UK. With its contemporary design and simple navigation, the site will ensure users can access up to date, relevant and interesting information quickly.
Joe Chetcuti, director at Front, said; ‘The new site reinterprets North Yorkshire as a thriving outdoor destination. The county, and the wider region, has so much to offer and we’re sure it will engage and drive both interest and visitor numbers.’
