The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the UK's leading gardening charity dedicated to advancing horticulture and promoting the joy of gardening to all, has appointed Front as the new through the line agency for its prestigious annual flower shows, RHS Spring Flower Show, Cardiff, RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park .The three year contract covers broadcast, press advertising, direct marketing and online activity. Front has also appointed MediaVest to plan and buy all media for each show.
The team’s principle tasks are to raise overall visitor numbers and promote the individual show personalities to a wide audience. The first wave of creative ideas is now being developed and will be unveiled later this year.
Joe Chetcuti, director of Front, said; ‘Our new relationship with the RHS is a fantastic milestone in the agency’s history and one we’re all extremely excited about. Each show has its own unique personality, thanks to their individual audience pull and locations, so it’ll be a real challenge to ensure we maximise awareness through outstanding creative executions and targeted media channels.’
Nicky Childs-Clarke, shows marketing and partner promotions manager at the RHS, also commented; ‘The annual RHS flower show calendar has an unrivalled reputation around the UK and beyond which is something we’re very proud of. Therefore, we were looking for an agency to deliver clean, fresh creative with a demonstratable ability to monitor and evaluate all marketing activities.’
